	Arthur Azzopardi B.Sc., MBA (Henley), CITP, PMP He graduated with a B.Sc. from the University of Malta and an MBA from Henley Management College (UK). He is also a qualified project management professional (PMP) and a chartered IT professional (CITP). Arthur has been a lecturer with BPP since 2003. Arthur worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for 4 years and since then, has held various high profile, management roles in the local industry.

F2/FMA Management Accounting Induction Course
	Krista Farrugia B. Accty (Hons.), FCCA, FIA, CPA Krista qualified as an accountant from The University of Malta and is also a fellow member of ACCA and The MIA. Prior to joining BPP she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers and as an accountant with a local manufacturing company. Krista has been a lecturer with BPP for over 5 years and also Director of Studies, focusing on student support and marketing. Interests include reading, swimming and outdoor activities with her family.

	Vanessa Aquilina BA (Hons)Accty., AIA, CPA Vanessa graduated with a BA Hons in Accountancy from the University of Malta and is currently the financial controller of the International Institute of Beauty Culture Co Ltd and principal of the International School of Hairdressing, a City and Guilds recognized centre. She is also the IT specialist and Administration Manager of the company. Prior to this Vanessa held the post of audit assistant manager and course coordinator for the new comers at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Vanessa has also gained experience working with PwC overseas.

F3/FFA Financial Accounting Induction COURSE
	Abigail Felice ACCA, MIA,CPA Abigail holds an ACCA professional qualification. She is also a member of The MIA and a CPA. After her working experience at The Malta Institute of Accountants as an Accounts and Administration Officer from 2005 until 2009, Abigail is currently Head of Department - Business at St. Edwards college, teaching accounts at senior school and management for the IB programme at sixth form. Abigail has joined BPP Professional Education as an F3 tutor in 2008. Her main interests are reading, swimming and going out

F4 Corporate and Business Law
	Dr Stephanie Sciberras B.A., LL.D Graduated Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Legal and Humanistic Studies and Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from the University of Malta in 1999. Stephanie currently leads the Corporate Governance Services team at Ganado & Associates, Advocates. Her previous experiences include the post of Manager at the Investment Services Unit at the MFSA and that of Legal Officer at the Central Bank of Malta. Her interests include reading, cooking and jogging.

	Manfred Galdes B.A., LL.D, LL.M Manfred Galdes graduated Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Legal and Humanistic Studies from the University of Malta in 1996 and doctor of laws (LL.D.) from the same university in 2001. He was admitted to the Maltese bar that same year and obtained a Masters degree in European Commercial Law (LL.M.) from the University of Leicester in 2006. After serving as Manager in Legal and International Relations at the Malta Financial Services Authority and then as Manager responsible for Regulatory Affairs and Compliance at Portman International Limited, Dr Galdes currently holds the post of Director of Malta's Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit,

F4 Corporate and Business Law
	David Zahra B.A, LL.M. (Lond.), LL.D. David graduated as Doctor of Laws at the University of Malta in November 2006, following which he was awarded the Chevening scholarship to read for an LL.M. in Corporate and Commercial Law at the University of London (Kings College). David worked for a first tier (Banking and Finance, Corporate and M&A) Legal 500 firm for four years before setting up Camilleri de Marco & Zahra Advocates, a law firm focusing on the core areas of commercial and corporate law, in 2011.

F5 Performance Management
	Julian Borg FCCA, MBA(Henley) ACCA qualified and holds an MBA from Henley Business School (University of Reading). Worked with KPMG in the auditing department and held a number of managerial roles in the public and private sector. Currently working as Finance Officer with the Malta Institute of Accountants and BPP Professional Education Malta. Interests include cycling and long distance running

	Craig Schembri B. Accty (Hons); AIA; MIT B. Accty (Hons.) qualified at the University of Malta. Currently working at Deloitte and Touche Malta as a Manager in the Tax Department. Interests include football and travelling. Craig teaches Taxation

	Isabel Felice B.Accty (Hons.), Tax. Dipl. (MIT), IIT (Dip), MIA, CPA, IFSP Isabel is a Certified Public Accountant and Tax Practitioner. She is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. She graduated from The University of Malta in 2003 as a Bachelor of accountancy (Hons) graduate. Isabel also successfully read for and obtained the Local Tax Diploma organised by the Malta Institute of Taxation and the VAT Compliance Diploma organised by the Institute of Indirect Taxation in collaboration with the Malta Institute of Management. She has worked as a tax manager with Ernst and Young for nine and a half years where she provided direct corporate and personal compliance and advisory services to a varied client portfolio both local and international.

	Ruth Farrugia B.A. (Hons) Accountancy, MIA, CPA, ADIT Ruth qualified as an accountant from the The University of Malta, is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners, and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has also successfully read for and obtained the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation by the Chartered Institute of Taxation. She is currently a Direct Tax Manager at Mazars Malta and she has occupied this post since 2006. She was previously an audit senior at Mazars Malta, formerly known as Attard Giglio & Co.

	Chris Pace B.Accty (Hons), AIA, Dip. Tax, IFSP, CPA Graduated as an accountant from the University of Malta and also achieved a distinction in the Diploma in Taxation awarded by the Malta Institute of Taxation. He has worked in the tax service line of two leading internationally affiliated professional services firms. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants, a member of the Malta Institute of Taxation and a member of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners. He is engaged mainly in direct and indirect tax issues relating both to local corporate and personal tax clients. Moreover, he is involved in providing advice on the setting up of new Maltese tax structures involving cross-border transactions.

	Stephen Balzan B.A.(Hons)Accty, CPA, AIA, TEP Stephen Balzan is one of the partners of EMD and he is the partner in charge of the International Tax Department within the firm. He holds a first degree in Accounting and has worked with two of the Big Audit firms in Malta for six years as a tax assistant and later as a manager in the International Tax Department. In the year 2001, together with his partners, he set up EMD which today has become an established multi-disciplinary firm providing legal, tax, advisory and corporate services. Stephen is a member of the Malta Institute of Taxation (MIT), the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA), the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners (IFSP), The International Tax Planning Association (ITPA), STEP and the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He was actively involved in various committees in the fields of taxation and he has on a number of occasions lectured on topics related to international tax, both in Malta and overseas. In November 2006, he was invited by the Swedish Institute of Auditors (IREV) to speak about international tax issues and on the incentives provided by Maltese fiscal legislation to international investors. Stephen continues to give various lectures and presentations and is the author of various articles on taxation. He has extensive experience in advising clients in the set up of complex cross-border structures through the use of Maltese limited liability companies. Main areas of interest include tax and international tax planning, capital gains and business development. Apart from his experience in international tax matters, including tax planning, treaty interpretation and advice, he also has a great deal of knowledge on corporate matters, company law, management, and administration. He specialises in treaty planning, holding companies and treasury and finance operations. He also sits on the board of directors of a number of companies including finance companies.

	Elvia George BA (Hons) Accty., FIA, CPA Graduated from the University of Malta with first class honours. Currently head of the Finance Section of one of the main local commercial banks. Elvia lectures with BPP and is also a part time lecturer at the University of Malta.

	Monique Micallef B.Accty (Hons.), MIA, CPA, MSc( R’dg) Graduated from the University of Malta, and read for postgraduate studies at the University of Reading, UK. Worked with PwC before joining the University of Malta where she lectures financial accounting to students at the honours level at the University of Malta, and those reading for the MBA.

	John Debattista B.A. (Hons) Accountancy, MIA, CPA John qualified as an accountant from The University of Malta in 2005, is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants and is a Certified Public Accountant. John started his career as an audit senior at Mazars Malta, formerly known as Attard Giglio & Co. He is currently an Audit Manager at Mazars Malta where he manages a number of assignments both in Malta and in a number of places in Europe, namely, Vienna, Linz and Zurich. His main areas of specialisation include the financial services industry and gaming.

F7 Financial Reporting
	David Leone Ganado FCCA, FIA, CPA David qualified as an accountant in 2002 and is a fellow member of both the ACCA and the MIA. He currently manages the provision of accounting advisory services at PwC, where his responsibilities also include the delivery of internal and external training seminars related to the IFRS and GAPSE accounting frameworks. His interests include voluntary work, football, walking and swimming.

F8 Audit and Assurance
	Stephen Mamo – B. Accty (Hons), AIA, CPA Steve holds an accountancy degree from the University of Malta and currently works as an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Steve joined the assurance practice of PwC in 2004 and furthered his experience in foreign PwC offices whilst on secondment at PwC Canada and PwC Channel Islands. Steve currently services a portfolio of clients in a number of industries, mainly specialising in insurance engagements and is also active in internal training.

F8 Audit and Assurance
	Anna Vella B. Accty (Hons.), AIA, CPA Anna works as an Audit Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Malta and is involved in providing assurance services to a combination of international clients. In 2005 and 2006 she completed two 5-month secondments at PwC Channel Islands (Jersey) and PwC Toronto respectively. Anna is also very active in the learning and education programme at PwC, she is also part of the audit methodology team were she assists in the research and communication performed by this team. Her interests mainly include dancing and swimming.

F8 Audit and Assurance
	Morgan Carabott B. Accty (Hons.), AIA, CPA Morgan obtained her Bachelor (Hons.) Accountancy degree from the University of Malta and is an associate of the Malta Institute of Accountants. She has worked with KPMG as an Audit Senior, with clients ranging from manufacturing to the financial services industry. Morgan decided to specialise as an Internal Auditor and holds this position at Middlesea Insurance plc to date. Interests include sports; particularly Football and socializing.

F9 Financial Management
	Patrick Spiteri Swain, BA (Hons) Accty, MIA, CPA, CFA Qualified from the University of Malta with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons). Other qualifications held are ACIB, MSc Financial Management (London). Work experience in financial management, specialising in financial risk management, fixed-income portfolio management and bank asset and liability management. Interests include football, reading and watching films.

P1 Governance, Risk and Ethics
	Kenneth Mousu B.A. (Hons) Accty, FIA, CPA, LIMIS Graduated from the University of Malta and is enrolled in the Institute for the Management of Information Systems in the UK. Kenneth is a director of Amarillo Investment Solutions Limited and a member of the Investment Committee. He previously worked in the audit department of Deloitte and Touche before moving to the Benchmark Group of companies where he served as group CFO. Kenneth is a fellow member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. His interests are DIY, cooking and football.

	Chris Meilak ACCA, MA(Econ), B.Com (Hons) Econ. Chris is a fellow ACCA member and holds an ACCA professional qualification, an MA in Economics from the University of Malta and a post-graduate degree in Economics also from the University of Malta. Chris has been a visiting lecturer at University since 2008, lecturing in Industrial Economics, Econometrics and Time Series Analysis. He joined BPP in 2011. After working as an economist within the Health Ministry’s Policy and Planning Directorate, Chris is currently a Manager at Ernst & Young’s Valuation and Business Modelling sub-service line. Interests include futsal and cycling.

	Stephen Gingell - B. Accty (Hons.), LL.M. (Tax) (Lond.) Steve holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) degree from the University of Malta in Accountancy and a Masters in Law with a specialisation in tax from Queen Mary, University of London. He is currently in the process of completing the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation. Steve is a Tax Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Malta and is involved in providing advice to a combination of international and local clients. During 2008, Steve completed a two year secondment with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, UK in tax. His interests include reading, swimming and carpentry.

	Roberto Micallef FCCA, MIA, CPA, M.A. Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy and Management at the University of Malta, ACCA qualified, Masters degree in Financial Services at the University of Malta. Currently running his own company specialising in accountancy, consultancy and tax advisory services. Also worked as a part time consultant with an established consultancy firm focusing on consultancy and tax related services particularly in the international context. Interests include football, tennis and travelling.

	Dr. Jonathan De Giovanni A.M.I.T., LL.B., M.A. (Fin.Serv.), LL.D. Graduated as Doctor of Laws in 2009 defending a thesis entitled ‘Domestic and Treaty based Anti-Abuse Provisions to Combat Tax Treaty Abuse: An Analysis’, while contemporaneously reading for a Master of Arts in Financial Services at the University of Malta. He successfully completed his master’s degree in 2011, graduating with Merit after submitting a thesis regarding the international taxation of investment funds. Jonathan joined EMD Advocates in July 2008 and was admitted to the Bar in 2010. He currently holds the position of Manager and Tax Consultant, managing the International Tax Department and Aviation Law Department within EMD Advisory Services Limited and EMD Advocates respectively. He provides high level tax planning advice to the firm’s international client base, in relation to complex cross border operations in which Maltese corporate and non corporate vehicles are employed in a tax efficient manner. At EMD Jonathan also manages the private clients department which is a specialist arm within the tax department that caters for ultra high net worth and high net worth individuals. Jonathan advises clients who are seeking to obtain Maltese residency, both from an immigration and tax perspective. Within this remit he specialises in providing high net worth individuals with bespoke solutions and pertinent structuring for both their personal and corporate needs. Within the Aviation Law Department, his field of practice includes advising clients in relation to aircraft registration and structures involving aircraft ownership, financing and leasing. Jonathan has delivered various seminars, presentations and webinars in relation to international taxation issues and Malta as a tax efficient jurisdiction, to a number of foreign law firms and Maltese governmental / non-governmental entities. He attends regular seminars in relation to topical taxation issues both in Malta and overseas. He has also been appointed by the University of Malta, as a thesis co-supervisor for a number of students in their final year of their Doctor of Laws degree, and writing their dissertation in the fields of international taxation and aviation. Jonathan is a Council Member of the Malta Institute of Taxation, a Member of the International Fiscal Association and a Member of the Malta Institute of Management.

P6 Advanced Taxation
	Dr. Simon Xuereb LL.B., LL.D., Adv. LL.M (Leiden) Simon graduated in 2009 after concluding his Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) degree at the University of Malta. He then proceeded to specialise in International and EU taxation at the International Tax Centre, Leiden University, in The Netherlands where he successfully followed a Masters of Advanced Studies in International Tax Law. Simon joined the firm in 2009, and is now a Manager in the tax function at KPMG in Malta, where on a daily basis he furnishes advice leading to the implementation of international tax solutions for a broad range of international clients across various industries, in respect of a diverse range of projects including: supply chain analysis and optimisation, group restructuring, the financing and leasing of certain high-value assets such as Aircraft and the provision of advice on international tax issues as regards investments made into / out of / through Malta.

P7 Advanced Audit and Assurance
	Frances Mifsud B.Accty (Hons), FIA, CPA(pc), Tax. Dipl. (MIT) Frances obtained her degree in accountancy from the University of Malta in 1997 and is a Fellow Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants. Frances started her professional career with KPMG audit department. During her tenure with KPMG she was responsible for the management of the audit of a varied portfolio of local as well as international clients. Following 9 years with the firm, she then moved to the private sector as the Group Financial Controller of a multinational group of companies operating in over 30 countries. Frances is currently a financial consultant for an asset management company based in Geneva.

	Anna Camilleri B. Accty (Hons), FCCA, CISA, MIA Anna is a qualified accountant from The University of Malta , a fellow member of ACCA and a retired Computer Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Anna is a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she has been working for the last 20 years. Her interests include zumba and fitness training, walking, cooking and reading.

ACCA moves online
To increase processing speed and reliability, ACCA has launched a fully online service for registration, exam entry, exam dockets, exam results and certificates.

The December 2012 exam results will be made available for students to view online and sent by email or SMS from 8 February 2012.

ACCA has also introduced a service that lets students print an official notification of their results via myACCA. Paper copies of exam results will not be issued.
Please note ACCA no longer accepts paper registration and exam entry forms.

June 2013 exams: You are required to write in black ink for all exam papers for onscreen marking purposes
